Painting#2 Rick Costello Space Art

“If we could see all the stars in our galaxy                   60”x48” Oil with a  36”x 24” Acrylic painting in relief                         Painting with the Earth in the foreground, the Moon in the background and the Milky Way Galaxy in infrared light in the far background. As with all my paintings the larger stars are the constellation stars. The Andromeda Galaxy lies in the lower left. The Earth shows the North and South America’s. The painting consists of an inner 36”x24” acrylic painting in relief on a 60”x48” oil painting.  All stars were put on the canvas one at a time. The orange/brown gases block our view to the center of the galaxy.
